How long do I have to wait for counselling to start?

Evening or weekend slots can be popular with an average time of 8-10 weeks. Flexibility of availability can reduce the wait time.

Who knows what I talk about?

Your sessions are confidential between yourself and your therapist, in line with

good practice and code of ethics a therapist is required to keep secure brief notes.

Additionally each therapist receives professional supervision. Our therapists

adhere to the Professional Code of Conduct of the British Association of

Counselling Psychotherapists – (Link to BACP)  Click here to see our Privacy Policy.

What if I miss a session, can’t make it or am on holiday?

Therapy is most effective when clients and therapists can engage and establish a strong therapeutic relationship. We therefore ask that no more than 6 sessions are

cancelled throughout the year.  If you do not attend a session or do not give

more than 7 days notice you will be charged for your missed session.

Do I have to live in Balham?
