All staff must ensure they record their arrival and departure time each day.
Staff must wear their uniforms.
On arriving the staff must check the notice board for daily schedule outlining their area of responsibility.
Before starting the session all staff must read the feed-back book.
Staff must set up and prepare the rooms as required referring to the programme and menu. They must make sure everything is completed in time for either, the arrival of the children or to go on school collection.
All staff at all times must follow the Street Safety Procedure.
All staff must ensure that all children’s personal belongings are stored tidily in the designated areas.
All staff will ensure that the children follow the Projects rules and codes of behaviour.
The feedback staff member must make sure that all children go to breakfast/tea.
The breakfast or tea-time staff member will make the children aware of the choices available and encourage every child to have something to eat.
All staff will encourage the children to use the shared parts of the building quietly i.e. the stairs and corridors.
All staff are to discourage children from sitting on the laps of other children and their own.
All staff are to ensure that their personal belongings are locked away for safety, this includes mobile phones which should be turned off.
If a staff member needs to make a personal phone call during project hours, they must inform the person in charge so that they can arrange additional cover for them to leave the play area and r can be arranged.
During project hours staff members are asked to refrain from eating, other than with the children at breakfast, lunch or tea. This will ensure that we lead by example. If staff are to have a drink during project hours, these must be kept out of the reach of all children.
Staff must remember that as a play-worker they are a role model for children, and therefore need to be aware of their actions whether working or in their own time.
During term-time:-
The last staff member to leave for school collection is to deposit the visitors and feedback books onto the feedback point.
All staff are responsible for ensuring that they follow the School Collection Procedure, and must arrive at the schools on time.
